Scaredy Student

I'll tell you a story about a young girl named Kayla who is scared, terrified, and most of all frightened to one day wake up and having nothing. To have that when she grows up would be like a bad dream, and that is why she makes sure that everything is done above and beyond. Kayla makes sure that this is the time that counts.

To have nothing when she grows up means she failed herself (and most of all her parents), and to feel that is something nobody should ever have to. She feels as though if she doesn't put all her effort into everything she dose now and for years to come, then she might not be able to live her life how she has always dreamed of.

She dose everything that she can. She is an amazing athlete (soccer, swimming, golf, volleyball etc.) but she finds that its hard to get everything in. To find time to get homework done or to study for a test is close to impossible, but some how she makes it work. Her stress level goes through the roof at times, and sleep is a mandatory thing that she doesn't get a whole lot of, but when she dose, she takes advantage.

With everything going on in her life, it had all come down to one day where she failed a test, and that is when it hit her, she never had time to study and was extremely stressed. She felt that she knew enough and that it was simple math, but that is until the mark came back. For a second she felt as though her life was over, she then pinched herself to make sure, and sitting in front of her was a big fat zero. This was the first test she had ever failed, and she knew that right then and there things had to change.

Winter break started the day after the test, and she knew she would have to retake the test, but before that she had to catch up on something that was missing in her life. She hadn't seen her friends (hung out, had a sleep over) in over two months, and she knew at that moment that was the reason for failing the test.

She got home and sat down with her parents. She explained to them the entire store and told them things had to change. It may invole dropping a couple things, but she knew it would take what ever she had to in order for it to work out. They worked out a new schedule and came to a conclusion that the team she had just tried out for and made, was going to be one thing she had to drop. They figured out that the best way to keep up with school work was if she had two days off in the middle of the week to help with the homework load, and last but not least more time with her friends.

Many of her friends were equally busy, so she called and told them that they have to make more room for each other in their lives. They need time to relax and become stress free, and they also said hanging out together is also studying together. So, they made a pact and made sure i would never get broken.

Ever since this tragic test, Kayla has been living an amazing life. She hasn't failed a test since and she has hung out with her friends every weekend ever since. She is happy and proud of her decisions and she knows she will never go back to what she was before.
